“Chi Alpha Korea provided a God-centered community at a formative stage of my adult life, and these people loved, taught and challenged me so much in ways I could never imagine and had never really experienced before. I've learned a different way of loving and living for Christ from what I knew…Servant leadership and humility, willingness to reach out but also to let people in. God's love is unconditional and unwavering, and though we're just a group of broken people, it covers us and reaches out through us…I think I've grown more into myself, the person that God made me, and everyone I connected with here had a hand in it.”

“Besides church, Chi Alpha is the place that helped me understand my calling for life and where I learned how to serve. I am an introverted person and tend not to talk much. But I learned new languages, learned how to interact with different people and developed my faith. Stepping into the unknown since I left Brazil pushed me out of my comfort zone. But with new experiences in this community, I discovered my strengths and started to understand God’s purposes for my life. Chi Alpha is a multicultural community, where you can expand your horizons by interacting with different people. You have a safe place to make friends, ask questions about things of life and faith, and learn new things.”

“When I first became a believer as an international student, Chi Alpha Korea became my family and home away from home. They became a safe place where I could freely share my worries related to my daily life and my spiritual walk. Knowing that there were people always praying for me encouraged me when I was going through difficult times. The friendly and loving spirit that fills the meetings and fellowships was something I could never get enough of. Now that I have graduated, I miss the community a lot. It is so full of comfort and love. I would highly encourage everyone to join without a second thought.”

“Chi Alpha Korea was a safe space for me. I was welcomed to a family who encouraged, sharpened and taught me to love the Lord and love His people…I also learned to be vulnerable because I was confident that on the other side of the pain they were always waiting to embrace me and be there for me…You are not going to join the ministry, you are going to be a part of a big family with our Father in the center of it.”

“Growing up in a Christian community as the child of missionaries was a blessing, but it also meant that my faith didn’t always feel personal or deeply rooted. I found myself wrestling with many questions, often feeling like I had no one to turn to for honest, open conversations. That’s when Chi Alpha Korea entered my life. Chi Alpha Korea has had a profound impact on me. It’s a community that not only encouraged me to explore my faith more deeply but also helped me build a stronger, more personal relationship with God. Being part of a group that welcomes questions, embraces people regardless of their past, and genuinely cares about my growth has allowed me to feel truly accepted and loved. I’ve found honest, thoughtful guidance on everyday topics like career decisions, relationships, and dating—questions I never felt fully equipped to navigate before. The support and wisdom I’ve received have helped me understand what it truly means to walk with God in today’s world, not just in theory, but in real, tangible ways.

“I was once an international student in the U.S., where I met my first Chi Alpha community. As an international student, I was an outsider but Chi Alpha was there for me and welcomed me as a family. I was grateful for that community. After I finished my studies in the U.S., I came back to Korea and found out that there is also Chi Alpha here. When I first encountered Chi Alpha Korea, I was excited to see that there is a community that connects people to Christ here in Korea too. I believe Chi Alpha Korea has helped me to grow my faith in Christ and also broaden my mind to know that the Kingdom of God is growing globally. To me, Chi Alpha Korea is true family, a community that is beyond borders, a group of people that loves God and their neighbors. Diversity and the passion of loving God make this community special.”

“Chi Alpha Korea has definitely had tangible positive impact providing meaningful Christ-centered friendships, community and fellowship. We also have a LOT of fun together. I joined in the beginning of my faith journey so I learned so much from members who are much more mature and seasoned than me. Every worship service I attended has a special place in my memory. Those nights are truly special and full of the Spirit. Perfect set up for genuine encounters! The people made it special. Being a part of the community that feels like family has helped me through tough times but also filled my special days with joy and celebration! I am truly grateful for Chi Alpha Korea.”
